The gift-giving activity is part of Mekeni’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at uplifting lives, and fostering gratitude, compassion, and community support.
Ms. Marilou Uy, the Assistant Vice President for HR and Exports mentioned that in addition to the donation of the management, employees also made financial and in-kind contributions, which played a key role in the program's success.
“We are always humbled and grateful to be able to contribute to the lives of others, especially at this time of year when the spirit of giving is more important than ever,” said Ms. Apple Garcia, HR Head. “At Mekeni, we believe that kindness and compassion are values that should be shared with everyone, and through this program, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and residents.”

Mekeni Food Corporation, a food processing company in Pampanga, recently partnered with SolarNRG for the installation of a 1,006 photovoltaic (PV) solar panel system in its Main Plant in Porac, Pampanga as part of its efforts in supporting the government’s sustainable development goals.
The solar panel system, installed at the plant’s cold storage facility, currently supplies 20% of Mekeni’s total power consumption. It is expected to generate significant cost savings for the company and reduce carbon footprint by approximately 288,021 kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.
