Sisig Shanghai


  • Mekeni Specials Sisig 250g
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ cup minced carrots
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Lumpia wrappers
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed


  1. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a wok and stir Mekeni Specials Sisig for 5 minutes.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pan; stir in carrots and green onions for 2 minutes. Season with pepper, salt, garlic powder, and soy sauce.
  3. Assemble Shanghai. Place three tablespoons of the filling on the wrapper, then roll and seal the lumpia. Repeat until all the rolls are assembled.
  4. Fry the Shanghai until golden brown. Transfer to a paper and drain.
  5. Serve immediately.
